Self funded group insurance eliminates insurance company profits. Any profits will be reinvested back into the plan to help reduce rates and add benefits. Like large corporations we are moving to a self funded group insurance plan.

Why we changed -
Year after year our rates have increased with our previous provider to a point where it became necessary to pursue other options in order to provide long term coverage at a more affordable rate.

What it means -
Leaving a fully insured product to a self funded product allows us to customize our needs for health and dental insurance. It also, will eliminate the insurance company profits, therefore helping to control and eliminate future rate increases.

Who qualifies -
All full time employees working more than 30 hours per week of the Pinnacle partners group including W2 and 1099 employees are qualified.

When it begins -
Open Enrollment for 2010 is January 1st through February 28, 2010.
